How many times have you thought "I wonder how this headline would look with different wording" or "I need a screenshot of this page with our client's name instead of placeholder text"? Normally this means editing code, rebuilding, or using an image editor to overlay text. Live Text Editor eliminates all of that — just click any text on the page and start typing. The text becomes editable in place using contentEditable, meaning all of the element's original CSS styling is preserved: font family, font size, font weight, color, letter-spacing, line-height, text-transform, and every other text property. The layout updates in real-time as you type — if the new text is longer, the element expands naturally. Edit as many text elements as you want in a single session. An edit counter tracks how many elements you've changed, and "Undo All" restores everything instantly. All changes are visual-only and reset on page refresh.
Click any text element on the page — headings, paragraphs, spans, button labels, link text, list items, table cells — and it becomes immediately editable. A blinking cursor appears and you can start typing. No selection mode or extra clicks needed.
Edited text keeps every original CSS property: font-family, font-size, font-weight, color, line-height, letter-spacing, text-transform, and layout properties. The text looks exactly like it belongs on the page — not like a crude overlay.
As you type longer or shorter text, the element resizes naturally and the surrounding layout reflows just as it would with real content. See exactly how different text lengths affect the layout.
Edit as many text elements as you want in a single session. Change the headline, then the subtitle, then the button label, then the footer text — each edit persists until you refresh the page.
A small counter shows how many elements you've edited. "Undo All" restores every edited element to its original text content in one click. Individual changes are tracked with "was: original text" hints.
All edits exist only in the browser's DOM and are never saved to the server. Refresh the page and every text element returns to its original content. Safe to use on any website — including production sites.
