Common questions about DevSuite Pro extension features and usage. If you have a question, it might already be answered below.
How do I install DevSuite Pro?
Visit the Chrome Web Store, search for "DevSuite Pro", click "Add to Chrome", and confirm by selecting "Add Extension". Once installed, the extension icon will appear in your browser toolbar. Click on it to access 64+ developer tools instantly.
What is the difference between Free and Pro tools?
Free tools (20+) are available to everyone with no license required. Pro tools are marked with a gold PRO badge and require an active Pro license to use. You can see which tools are free or pro from the popup — free tools have no lock icon, while pro tools appear slightly dimmed until you activate your license.
Why doesn't a tool work on some websites?
Some websites have strict Content Security Policies (CSP) that block certain browser extension actions. This is especially common on banking and government sites. Additionally, Chrome internal pages (chrome://, chrome-extension://) do not allow extensions to run content scripts.
Are my changes to a page permanent?
No. All changes made by tools like Move Element, Live Text Editor, Delete/Hide Element, and CSS Inspector are temporary. They only affect what you see in your browser right now. Reloading the page will restore everything to its original state.
How do I activate my Pro license?
Open the DevSuite Pro popup, click the Settings icon in the top-right corner. Scroll down to the License section, paste your license key into the input field, and click Activate. If the key is valid, the badge will change from FREE to PRO and all pro tools will unlock instantly.
How do I move or hide the floating dock?
You can move the dock by going to Settings and choosing a different Sidebar Position — Top, Bottom, Left, or Right. You can also hide the dock entirely by toggling off "Show dock on pages" in Settings, or pressing Ctrl+Shift+X at any time.
Does DevSuite Pro collect any browsing data?
No. DevSuite Pro does not collect, track, or transmit your browsing data. All settings are stored locally in your browser. The only external request made is during license key activation to verify your key against our server.
Can I use DevSuite Pro on Firefox?
Yes! DevSuite Pro is available on both Chrome Web Store and Firefox Add-ons. It works on Chrome, Edge, Brave, and other Chromium-based browsers, as well as Firefox.
